A blood test is no longer required. You can obtain a Public and Confidential Marriage License online by going to www.sdarcc.com .
If either party has been granted a divorce within 90 days of applying for a new marriage license, a copy of the final divorce decree must be presented at the time of issue.
The fee for a Public Marriage License Application and a Confidential Marriage License Application is $50.00, although this amount may vary by $5.00. It is best to double check. Not all county offices will accept credit cards, so it is wise to bring either cash or a personal check.
After the ceremony, I will be happy to hand-deliver your marriage license to the San Diego County Clerk's office on the first business day following your ceremony, where it will be filed.
NOTE: California requires one witness be present at the ceremony to sign the license although there are two witness signature lines on the license. No more than 2 witnesses can sign the license.
